Rajnath Singh arrives on 2-day visit to JK | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 07 (KNO) : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh reached Srinagar this morning on a 2-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir.

He is accompanied by Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba and other senior officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Home Minister was received by Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary, Minister for Animal Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli, Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Stapaul Sharma, Minister for Power, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister for Forests, Ecology & Environment, Rajiv Jasrotia, Minister of State for Finance & Panning, Ajay Nanda, Minister of State for Education & Tourism, Shakti Raj Parihar, Legislator, Ravinder Raina, Chief Secretary, B B Vyas, Director General Police, Dr S P Vaid and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rohit Kansal. Rajnath Singh is scheduled to address a Sports Conclave at SK Indoor Stadium Srinagar.

He will review overall security scenario of the State and also the progress of PMDP at separate meetings in Srinagar this afternoon. The Home Minister is also scheduled to interact with media-persons in Srinagar and Jammu. He will be leaving for Jammu tomorrow.
